CASE STUDY

CORTEVA AGRISCIENCE™

Corteva Agriscience™, the agriculture division of DowDuPont™ (NYSE:  DWDP), will be an independent, publicly traded company by June 2019. The division provides growers worldwide with the most comprehensive product portfolio in the industry while still bringing new products to market though their technology pipeline. Their portfolio includes some of the most recognized and award-winning crop protection product brands in agriculture: Pioneer®, Encirca®, and the newly launched Brevant™ Seeds.

Challenge

Corteva Agriscience™ offers grower purchase programs across Canada for their seed and crop protection products. With the breadth and complexity of their marketing programs, it is a challenge for Corteva to execute the extensive range of programs based on internal resources and processes alone.  In spite of this challenge, Corteva Agriscience is committed to exceeding customer expectations and delivering accurate and on-time payments to their retailer and growers.

Solution

For Corteva Agriscience™, AGDATA develops program logic, exposure report templates and completes program calculations for their program payment using AGDATA’s proprietary technology and processes. Based on the payment schedule provided by Corteva Agriscience™, AGDATA has consistently delivered timely and accurate payments, while implementing extensive quality control procedures throughout. AGDATA leverages transactional data collected through their standard data collection process and database to reconcile data provided by Corteva Agriscience™and determine eligibility for rebates. AGDATA prints and sends checks and statements to qualified growers, collects and stores all grower invoice details relating to their programs and manages an incoming rewards call-center initiative for program-related inquiries.

Outcome

The ingestion of data into a single source using AGDATA’s standard data collection process and database has allowed Corteva Agriscience™ to streamline their customer incentive program fulfillment process, thereby reducing the number of overpayments on programs and decreasing the timing for the payments to be received by customers.

“I have found the team at AgData in Canada to be very collaborative and effective in working with us to understand our needs and then developing customized solutions to meet or exceed our needs”.

– Scot Middleton, Corteva Agriscience™ Canada.
